Caitlin Brennan was born in 1999. She has lived her entire life in Colorado with her immediate family. She studied fine arts at the University of Colorado Denver, graduating in 2024 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts, an emphasis on drawing and painting. Throughout her time in college, Caitlin had the opportunities to participate in group exhibitions, performances, create self-published works, and co-curated an exhibition. In 2023, Caitlin completed a month-long study abroad at the Burren College of Art in Ballyvaughan, County Clare, Ireland. Her exhibition 100 Years Later featured at the 2024 CU Denver BFA Thesis Show, at RedLine Contemporary Art Center, Denver, Colorado.
Caitlin is inspired by the world and people around her. She enjoys recreating what she sees with representational drawings and paintings, striving to express the beauty she sees to share with others. Doing this, Caitlin works to honor the joy and life she is inspired by often communicating with conceptual nuance and wit. Graphite, watercolor, and acrylics are mediums she always returns to; that said, she also enjoys using other mediums including sculpture and photography. Documenting what she encounters, Caitlin then uses photographic references and inspiration for her work.
